Gard Karlsen, co-founder of Completion Services, says: “Total E&P Norge has signed the contract for the purchase of the CSD software and the installation will take place in early January 2014. This means that 7 of the operators on the Norwegian continental shelf are using CSD and we believe more will follow.” Total E&P Norway will also be using Cdim – the CSD web module. This will allow all employees to find the most up to date well schematics by using Internet Explorer instead of the CSD application. In addition to giving employees easy access it can also be used to share information with other applications and portals.

CSD is already in use in companies like Statoil, DONG Energy, Det Norske, Talisman, Lundin, Wintershall, Carigali Hess (Malaysia), Oil Search Limited (Australia) etc.

Total E&P Norge is involved in exploration and production of oil and gas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and produced on average 287,000 barrels of oil equivalents every day in 2011. They are currently involved in the development of fields like Atla and Martin Linge. The company has a portfolio consisting of 99 licenses and they are operators of 27 of these. You can read more about Total E&P Norge on their company homepage.
